FOR EMPLOYERS WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MANDATORY DISINFECTION, PEST CONTROL, AND RODENT CONTROL (DDD MEASURES)
Mandatory DDD measures encompass complex, carefully planned comprehensive measures that are divided into pest control, insect control, and disinfection. These measures aim to destroy microorganisms and control harmful arthropods and rodents, combining preventive and curative measures with the ultimate goal of reducing, halting the growth and reproduction, or completely eliminating the presence of microorganisms, harmful arthropods, and rodents.
The basic procedures for comprehensive protection in facilities are:
- Implementation of surface and space hygiene
- Implementation of surface and space sanitation
- Elimination of conditions conducive to the growth and reproduction of microorganisms and the removal of food sources and shelter that favor the reproduction of harmful arthropods and rodents
- Implementation of necessary construction and technical measures to create unfavorable conditions for the entry, retention, and reproduction of harmful arthropods and rodents
- Application of physical measures: implementation of optimal microclimatic conditions / use of ultrasonic devices in acceptable locations
- Application of pesticides: use of pesticides that target specific pests / application of pesticides to the targeted infested area
Mandatory DDD measures (disinfection, pest control, and rodent control) are carried out in buildings, facilities, spaces, rooms, on devices, and equipment used by individuals and entities conducting economic activities. These measures also apply to sectors such as healthcare, education, social care, hospitality, tourism, crafts, services, sports and recreation, public water supply and wastewater disposal facilities, municipal waste disposal sites, public transportation, in and around residential buildings, public areas, and public facilities in towns and settlements, as well as other facilities of public health and municipal importance.
